Litha, Summer Solstice and the Night of Sânziene

The 2020 Summer Solstice takes place on June 20 at 21:44 UTC
(June 21st at 12:43 AM EET)

Litha is one of the eight Festivals included in the Wheel of the Year and one of the four Sun Festivals. The Sun festivals are called as such because they are related to the Sun’s position around the Earth. For this reason, their date varies slightly each year. Amongst the four Sun Sabbats, there are two Equinoxes (Mabon and Ostara) and two Solstices (Yule and Litha).
During the two Equinoxes, the day and the night are of equal length: nature is in a perfect equilibrium. Thus, during those Sabbats, all magick should be aimed in reaching balance in your life. In contrast, the two Solstices are moments of extreme imbalance between dark and light, where one triumphs over the other. Indeed, the Winter solstice (Yule) marks the longest night of the year, while the Summer Solstice (Litha) celebrates the longest day of the year. Those two Sabbats are times of transformation, appropriate for protection and purification spells.

The Wheel of the Year represents the metaphorical mythology surrounding the God and the Goddess. This sacred couple is responsible for all creation in Nature, and each has a decisive role to play in the cycles of life during the course of the year. The God is depicted as the forceful Sun, and the Goddess as the nurturing Earth – Mother Gaia.

During this period, the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky. The God is now in his full power and at the height of His virility, and the Goddess of the Earth is now fully pregnant with a Child and she is bringing forth the greatest abundance of the year. The crops are reaching their full maturity and the forests are bursting with lush growth. The Earth is awash with fertility and fulfillment and this is a time of joy and celebration of expansiveness and achievements. In just a few short weeks, the harvest season will begin, but for now we pause to celebrate the manifestation of what was planted in the early weeks of Spring.

Midsummer or the Summer Solstice is the most powerful day of the year for the Sun God. Because this Sabbat glorifies the Sun God and the Sun, fire plays a very prominent role in this festival. The element of Fire is the most easily seen and immediately felt element of transformation.

This is also the traditional time for gathering wild herbs for medicine and magic, as most are fully grown by Midsummer and the power of this particular day will add to their benefits. For this reason, Litha is known as Gathering Day in Wales.

To celebrate this Sabbat, you can decorate your altar with summer flowers, herbs and fruits, and summer colors like green, blue and yellow. This is a traditional time for rites of dedication to the God and Goddess, as well as divination related to love and romance. Since this Sabbat revolves around the Sun, keep at least one candle lit throughout the day to honor the Sun, and if possible hold your Litha rituals at noon, when the Sun is at its highest point in the sky. Have an outdoor picnic feast to bask in the warmth of the day, and eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Midsummer is a good time for magic related to masculine energies, issues dealing with solar influences and any situation that needs to be “fired up” in your life.

Traditionally people stayed up all night on Midsummer’s Eve to welcome and watch the sunrise. Bonfires were lit on tops of hills, by holy wells, at places held sacred, to honor the fullness of the Sun. At Litha the bonfire really represents a reflection of the Sun at the peak of its strength. The chosen wood would often be Oak and aromatic herbs were scattered into the fire. People danced around the fires and leap through them. Blazing herbs from the sacred bonfire were used to bless the animals. Blazing torches were carried sunwise around homes and fields. Coals from the Midsummer fire were scattered on fields to ensure a good harvest.

Love has always been a major focus of the Summer Solstice, with the month itself named after Juno, the Roman Goddess of love and marriage. All types of love are celebrated now, including weddings, love between parents and children, love in friendship and self love.

Faeries and the faerie domain are a common theme around Midsummer, as this is supposed to be the time when the veil between our worlds is very thin. Communicating with the faerie domain, and doing magick with faeries is especially potent now.

The more present and connected we become with the rhythm of nature and the spirit of the seasons, the easier it becomes to intuitively celebrate!

The Night of Sânziene (Drăgaica) – Midsummer celebration in Romania
23rd-24th June

People in Romania celebrate Sânzienele every year on June 24th, around the Summer Solstice.
Sânzienele are, in Romanian mythology, good fairies from the class of iele.
The ieles are supernatural female creatures from Romanian mythology, spread in superstitions, whose precise profile cannot be established, due to the inconsistency of folklore; however, the preferred mythological form is of virgin fairies, with great seductive force and magical powers, cumulating the attributes of Nymphs, Naiads, Dryads, and somewhat of Mermaids.
According to the most common global characteristics, they are immortal, beautiful, voluptuous and seductive, excellent dancers and chorus singers; they wear their long hair disheveled and dress in steamy silk or linen garments, usually translucent or even transparent.

The name “Sânziana” comes from the Roman Goddess Diana, the patroness and the great Goddess of the Moon, the hunt, birthing and the Protector of the forests and all wild, untamed life. Sânziana or Drăgaica is also called the Empress, the Mistress of the Sisters, the Queen of Holders, the Bride, depending on the geographical area of the country.

Diana Sancta from Sarmizegetusa became Sânziana, a central figure of Romanian folklore. Religious and linguistic continuity was ensured mainly due to the fact that the transformation process took place in a popular environment, rustic and wild.” – Mircea Eliade

Among the people, it was believed that the night before Sânziene is a magical one in which all miracles are possible. Also on this night both the forces of good and those of evil reach their peak. According to popular belief, on the night of June 23rd to 24th, the skies open and Sânzienele begin to dance. This holiday celebrates the Sun, love but also the lust for life.

If we follow the legends, Sânzienele are extraordinarily beautiful beings, like fairies, who live in forests or plains. On the night of Sânziene, they catch in the choir, sing and dance. They give special uses to plants and weeds, so they can be used to treat certain diseases. Moreover, Sânzienele protect the hailstorms, bear fruit for sowing, bless brides and contribute to the multiplication of plants and animals.

The customs and traditions of Sânziene are diverse and numerous, depending on the geographical area of the country and the specific influences of the region.
As expected, the day of Sânziene has its own specific rituals, mainly focused on love spells. In some regions, especially in the countryside, it is common that the young girls to play the role of Sânziene. One of the girls is chosen to represent Drăgaica, the most powerful Sânziana. After she is dressed in white and embellished with golden wheat spikes – the symbol of Sun and Summer – she must gather all the other girls into a big circle and dance. Then, they all go collecting Lady’s bedstraw flowers and create beautiful wreaths. In some regions, the girls throw their wreath in water while chanting their wishes of love. In other parts of the country, the wreaths are thrown over the house; if the wreath stays on the roof, the girl will marry soon, if not, the girl still has to wait.

Another custom specific to the day of Sânziene is the bathing of women in running water or in the morning dew. At sunrise, the women wash in a river and then roll in the dewy grass. In this way they will stay clean and healthy, they will wash away diseases and problems. Any failure will be resolved, and those who want children have a good chance of getting pregnant.
In order to ward off evil spirits, people lit fires over which very strong-smelling herbs and plants were thrown. They would shout out loud around the fires to keep the evil spirits at bay.

May the plan of Love and Light forever prosper!

Festival of Humanity

Festival of Humanity

On 5th June we welcome the Full Moon, the day that we celebrate the Festival of Humanity, or the Festival of Goodwill, which occurs every year at the Full Moon while the Sun traverses Gemini.

The Ascended Masters and Spiritual Hierarchy under the direction of Sanat Kumara, Lord Buddha, Lord Maitreya and the Chohans of the Seven Rays celebrate 12 Festivals each year, all occurring on the Full Moon. The Full Moon functions like a window or magnifying glass for the intensification and downpouring of planetary and cosmic energies to disciples, initiates and to the Earth.

The three major Festivals are:

  • Festival of the Christ – Love aspect of God – Hierarchy – Aries – April’s Full Moon
  • Wesak Festival – Will aspect of God – Shamballa – Taurus – May’s Full Moon
  • The Festival of Humanity – Divine Intelligence – Humanity – Gemini – June’s Full Moon

The three major festivals function to build the divine attributes into human consciousness. They function to establish the divine aspects. The divine aspects have to do with the qualities of the first three rays : Power, Love-Wisdom and Active Intelligence. The divine attributes are the qualities of rays four through seven : Harmony, Concrete Science, Devotion and Ceremonial Order and Magic.

The three festivals provide a unique opportunity for people to join together to invoke these forces in a dynamic way. This a beneficial and potent time to meditate, do ceremonies and focus our intentions.

The Festival of Humanity and Good Will

In the solar month of Gemini, at the Full Moon, the Light generated at Wesak is now fully released. The Christ, the Lord of Love, brings an abundant tide of love for Humanity to use as goodwill in establishing rightful world conditions.

The day of this festival is called World Invocation Day, as it celebrates the collective aspiration of humanity to act in harmony with its highest spiritual goals. It is also known as the Festival of the Spirit of Humanity, the Goodwill Festival and the Festival of Unification.

The Goodwill Festival during the full moon of Gemini is the subsequent opportunity for approach to Hierarchy. The Christ stands as the emissary for Humanity and we stand along with him calling out for the energies of Light, Love, and the Will-to-Good which Mother Gaia desperately needs. Our task is to work closely with the Christ, who stands at the “center where the Love of God is known” and invoke, receive and channel this electromagnetic force directly into the planet, stimulating and activating the expression of Goodwill and Right Human Relations in all areas of life. Over time, the significance of this meditation ritual is revealed to those who become more soul attuned and less personality oriented.

The Sun’s transit through Gemini offers opportunity for uniting soul and personality, and vitalizes the changes needed for the evolution of the Christ consciousness by channeling the energy of Love into our solar system, and on to Earth.

The Festival of the Spirit of Humanity aspires toward divinity, atonement to God’s will and right human relationships. It occurs each year at the Full Moon in June. It is a day to recognize and honor the divine nature of humanity and aspire toward spiritual fellowship. This festival represents the effects in human consciousness of the work of Gautama Buddha, Lord Maitreya and the Master Jesus.
The force that is prevalent at this festival is the force of reconstruction. This is the force of the first ray, or will aspect of divinity, that is directly connected with Shamballa. This force is mainly effective between nations of the Earth. Its effect on any given nation is governed by the level of evolution of any particular nation. The two extremes are egocentric nations versus nations focused on world unity. The United Nations is one manifestation of this force in its more positive aspect. The three forces of restoration, enlightenment and reconstruction express the light, love and knowledge of God.

The synthesis of these forces and the effects of these festivals consciously celebrated by humanity will produce the following results, as outlined by Alice Bailey in Serving Humanity:

  1. Power will be given to the disciples and initiates so that they can direct efficiently and wisely the process of rebuilding.
  2. The Will to Love will stimulate men of goodwill everywhere, gradually overcoming hatred. The inner urge in men and women to live together cooperatively already exists and is subject to stimulation.
  3. The Will to Action will lead intelligent people throughout the world to inaugurate those activities which will lay the foundation for a new, better and happier world.
  4. The Will to Cooperate will steadily increase. Men and women will desire and demand right human relationships as a natural way of life.
  5. The Will to Know and to Think Correctly and Creatively will become an outstanding characteristic of the masses. Knowledge is the first step toward wisdom.
  6. The Will to Persist will become a human characteristic, a sublimation of the basic instinct of self-preservation and self-centeredness. This will lead to a persistent belief in the ideals presented by the Spiritual Hierarchy and the demonstration of immortality.
  7. The Will to Organize will further a building process which will be carried forward under the direct inspiration of the Spiritual Hierarchy. The medium will be the potency of the Will to Good of the New Group of World Servers and the responsive goodwill of mankind.

Together, each of the three spiritual Festivals progressively launch, build, and vitalize creative impulses. The Spiritual Hierarchy uses the festivals to strengthen and guide human thought and activity toward spiritual purpose. Their responsibility is to bring the Plan of God into manifestation and they work through the Full Moon opportunities year around, culminating with these three springtime festivals, to awaken humanity to these ends.

The three Full Moon Festivals of spring are destined to become a focal point in the new Aquarian Age, as more and more people of goodwill come together to celebrate that Humanity is One, despite religious or cultural differences.

The twelve annual festival, in concordance with the study of astrology as to their meaning, will provide a complete revelation of divinity to humanity. This will also connect humanity to the understanding of the seven great rays, which underlay even the science of astrology. This approach will also connect humanity to the workings of the Spiritual Hierarchy and ascended masters, leading to the new world religion made manifest on Earth.

Join in and help build and strengthen the channel for the powerful energies which are streaming in to form the framework of the emerging new world.

It is important to dedicate this day to the Ascended Masters and the Spiritual Hierarchy and make a Sacred Ceremony at the exact time of the Full Moon, which will take place on 5th June at 7:12 PM UTC (10:12 PM EEST – Romania time).

What you can include in the Sacred Ceremony:

Short Version of the Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the Mind of GOD
Let Light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of GOD
Let Love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.
From the center where the Will of GOD is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men—
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the center which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out.
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Long Version of the Great Invocation

Let the Forces of Light bring illumination to mankind
Let the Spirit of Peace be spread abroad
May men of goodwill everywhere meet in a spirit of cooperation
May forgiveness on the part of all men be the keynote at this time.
Let power attend the efforts of the Great Ones
So let it be, and help us to do our part.
Let the Lords of Liberation issue forth
Let Them bring succor to the sons of men
Let the Rider from the Secret Place come forth,
And coming, save
Come forth, O Mighty One.
Let the souls of men awaken to the Light,
And may they stand with massed intent
Let the fiat of the Lord go forth
The end of woe has come!
Come forth, O Mighty One
The hour of service of the Saving Force has now arrived
Let it be spread abroad, O Mighty One.
Let Light and Love and Power and Death
Fulfill the purpose of the Coming One
The will to save is here
The love to carry forth the work is widely spread abroad
The active aid of all who know the truth is also here
Come forth, O Mighty One and blend these three.
Construct a great defending wall
The rule of evil now must end.

The Affirmation of the Disciple

I am a point of light within a greater light
I am a strand of loving energy within the stream of love divine.
I am a point of sacrificial fire, focused within the fiery Will of GOD and thus I stand.
I am a way by which men may achieve.
I am a source of strength enabling them to stand.
I am a beam of light, shining upon their way, and thus I stand.
And standing thus, revolve and tread this way, the ways of men,
And know the ways of GOD. And thus I stand.
I strive toward understanding.
Let wisdom take the place of knowledge in my life.
I strive towards cooperation.
Let the master of my life, the soul, and likewise the one I seek to serve, throw light through me on others.
In the center of the Will of GOD I stand.
Naught shall deflect my will from His.
I implement that will by love.
I turn towards the field of service.
I, the triangle divine, work out that will within the square, and serve my fellow men.
I am a messenger of Light.
I am a pilgrim on the way of Love.
I do not walk alone, but know myself as one with all great souls, and one with them in service.
Their strength is mine. This strength I claim.
My strength is theirs and this I freely give.
A soul, I walk on earth, I represent the One.
I am one with my group of brothers, and all that I have is theirs.
May the love which is in my soul pour forth to them.
May the strength which is in me lift and aid them.
May the thoughts which my soul creates reach and encourage them.
I know the law, and towards the goal I strive.
Naught shall arrest my progress on the way.
Each tiny life within my form responds.
My soul has sounded forth that call, and clearer day by day it sounds.
The glamour holds me not.
The path of light streams clear ahead.
My plea goes forth to reach the hearts of men.
I seek, I try to serve your need. Give me your hand and tread the path with me
The sons of men are one and I am one with them.
I seek to love not hate.
I seek to serve and not exact due service.
I seek to heal not hurt.
Let pain bring due reward of Light and Love.
Let the soul control the outer form and life, and all events, and bring to light the Love which underlies the happenings of the time.
Let vision come and insight.
Let the future stand revealed.
Let inner union demonstrate and outer cleavages be gone.
Let Love prevail.
Let all men Love.
We know, oh Lord, of life and love, about the need.
Touch our hearts anew with Love, that we too may love and give.

The WESAK Festival

Uncategorized

DATE: Thursday, 07.05.2020 (May’s Full Moon — Flower Moon)
Exact time of the Full Moon: 6:45 AM ET (1:45 PM Romania time)

The Ascended Masters and Spiritual Hierarchy under the direction of Sanat Kumara, Lord Buddha, Lord Maitreya and the Chohans of the Seven Rays celebrate 12 Festivals each year, all occurring on the Full Moon. The Full Moon functions like a window or magnifying glass for the intensification and downpouring of planetary and cosmic energies to disciples, initiates and to the Earth.

The twelve annual festivals will constitute a revelation of divinity. They will present a means of bringing about relationship, first of all, during three months with the three great spiritual Centers, the three expressions of the divine Trinity. The minor festivals will emphasis the interrelation of the Whole, thus lifting the divine presentation out of the individual and the personal, into that of the universal divine Purpose; the relationship of the Whole to the part and of the part to that Whole will be thereby fully expressed.

The three major Festivals are:

Festival of the Christ – Love aspect of God – Hierarchy – Aries – April’s Full Moon

Wesak Festival – Will aspect of God – Shamballa – Taurus – May’s Full Moon

The Festival of Humanity – Divine Intelligence – Humanity – Gemini – June’s Full Moon

The Wesak Festival is connected with an ancient legend which may be to some a mythical story, to others a symbolic narrative, and to quite a large number a state of present fact. The story is connected with the Buddha, and with a happening in His life which left Him in the position wherein (following the dictates of His heart) He determined to return once a year from the high place in which He dwells and works, to bless the world. The two great Sons of God, the Buddha and the Christ, are one the custodian and the other the recipient of this blessing. Both of Them hold it in trust for transmission to a needy world, and both of Them act as transmitters of this spiritual energy to humanity.

This force of enlightenment that is so prevalent at Wesak is why the coming together of large groups at this time can be such an awesome experience.
Wesak is the pinnacle each year where the greatest window for mass enlightenment can occur on a planetary level.

During the ceremony Buddha sounds forth a great mantra and becomes an “Absorbing Agent” of the first ray force. Buddha then uses the magnetic power of the second ray to attract this force to himself and holds it steady prior to then redirecting it to Lord Maitreya, who is the “Receiving Agent” of this energy. This energy is then disseminated to the seven Chohans and their Ashrams for a seven-fold expression and direction into the world.
This is also a time to come and stand before Lord Maitreya, Lord Buddha and Sanat Kumara to give your vows of service and receive special blessings.

It is important to note that this is also an actual physical event. At the hour of the full moon, a stillness settles down upon the crowd and all look toward the Northeast. Certain ritualistic movements take place under the guidance of the different Masters and their Ashrams.
The entire ceremony takes only eight minutes. However, its effects last an entire year. This is Buddha’s annual sacrifice for humanity.

Wesak is a living event based on current astrological cycles.
It is at Wesak that a type of channel is opened for humanity that allows disciples and initiates to contact certain energies that are not normally available, or as easily accessible. This allows great expansions of consciousness to take place.

Djwhal Khul has also stated that “It is the intention of the Buddha and the Christ, that in each country there shall eventually be someone who will act as their representative of the time of the two festivals, so that the distribution of spiritual energy from the first Great Aspect or Ray will be directed from the Buddha to the Christ and then form the Christ to those initiates in every country who can be overshadowed and so act as channels for the direct current of energy.” This is referencing the Festival of the Christ and the Wesak Festival.

In the Alice Bailey’s book, Ponder on This, Djwhal Khul has also said about the Wesak, “No cost is too great to pay in order to be of use to the Spiritual Hierarchy at the time of the full moon of May, The Wesak Festival. No price is too high in order to gain the spiritual illumination which can be possible, particularly at that time.”

The Wesak has four basic functions:

  1. To substantiate the fact of Christ’s physical appearance on Earth.
  2. To physically prove the solidarity of the Eastern and Western approaches to God.
  3. To form a rallying point and meeting place for those who annually, in synthesis and symbolically, link up and represent the Father’s house l, the Kingdom of God and Humanity.
  4. To demonstrate the nature of the work of the Christ as the Great and Chosen Intermediary and Leader of the Spiritual Hierarchy and disciples and initiates on Earth.

The purpose of the Wesak Festival is as follows:

  1. The releasing of certain transmissions of energy to humanity which will stimulate the spirit of love, brotherhood and goodwill.
  2. The fusion of all men and women of good will into a responsive, integrated whole.
  3. The invocation and response from certain Cosmic Beings if prior goals are achieved.

“If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed in what I have told you, if you have a staunch belief in the work of the Spirit of God and in the Divinity of Man, then forget yourselves and consecrate your every effort, from the time you receive this communication, to the task of cooperation in the organized effort to change the current of personal and world affairs by an increase in the Spirit of Love and Goodwill in the world during the month of May.”

Through the Buddha, the Wisdom of God is poured forth. Through the Christ Maitreya, the Love of God is made manifest to humanity. This festival links the work of the Buddha and the Lord Maitreya in symbolic and literal form.
This is a time of enormous blessings being poured forth to the disciples, initiates, New Group of World Servers and humanity on Earth. As the Masters, initiates and disciples leave the ceremony, they are filled with a sense of renewed strength to undertake another year of world service work.
It is the single greatest event upon out planet from the perspective of the Ascended Masters and the one that has the greatest effect upon the human race. It is also at this time period that the Lodge of Masters meet on the inner plane for the following three reasons as outlined by Djwhal Khul in the Alice Bailey books: “to contact Spiritual Force which is transmitted to our planet through the medium of the Buddha and the Christ; to confer together as to the immediate necessity and the work to be done for humanity; to admit to initiation those who are ready and to stimulate their disciples to increased activity and service.”

The actual Wesak focus has recently been extended to cover five days for work and service — the two days prior to the full moon, the day of the Festival itself, and the two days after the actual Wesak Ceremony. The two days of preparation are called the Days of Renunciation and Detachment. The day of the Festival is called the Day of Safeguarding, and the two succeeding days are called the Days of Distribution.

The twelve annual festivals, in concordance with the study of astrology as to their meaning, will provide a complete revelation of Divinity to humanity. This will also connect humanity to the understanding of the Seven Great Rays, which underlay even the science of astrology. This approach will also connect humanity to the workings of the Spiritual Hierarchy and Ascended Masters. This will lead to the new world religion made manifest on Earth.

Burning Pot

I would recommend setting up the burning pot about five minutes before you are actually going to start the class and celebration officially. Everyone will be seated and in the center of the room will be a hot plate on the floor. On the hot plate will be a little metal pot. In the pot you will pour about a quarter of an inch of Epsom salt. As you are about to begin, pour not more than a half an inch of rubbing alcohol over the Epsom salt. When everyone is quiet, throw a match into the rubbing alcohol. It will burn for about five minutes and it will burn up all the etheric, astral and mental negative energy in the atmosphere. I call this the New Age campfire. I guarantee that everyone in your group will love it. Explain to everyone the effect that the burning pot has. I would also recommend at this time lighting some sage or incense.
PLEASE NOTE: Please be very careful when doing the burning pot. When you do so, you do so on your own responsibility.

Holding Hands Resonation

When the burning pot burns out, the entire room will be extremely clear in terms of the spiritual atmosphere. Then guide the group to hold hands, be it two people or twelve or more, and for one minute have everyone hold hands and connect with each other’s heart chakras as they are doing this. This will serve to unify the entire group instantly into a group consciousness.

Establishment of the Ascension Column and Pillar of Light

The next step is to call forth to the Planetary and Cosmic Spiritual Hierarchy for the establishment and activation of a gigantic ascension column to be set up in the room in which you are gathered. Ask that this ascension column be connected also to a gigantic pillar of light and be connected to your group’s planetary and cosmic antakarana which is the tube of light that connects you with your Monad and Source.

Platinum Net

Call forth to Melchizedek, the Mahatma, and Metatron to bring forth the platinum net, down through the entire group and your home. The platinum net will clear the entire group and your home of all negative and imbalanced energies on all levels.

Axiatonal Alignment

The next step is to call forth from the Planetary and Cosmic Hierarchy a planetary and cosmic axiatonal alignment. The axiatonal alignment will serve to balance all the meridians of each individual and the entire group, and serve to instantly align the group energy with Source and the Spiritual Hierarchy’s consciousness on all levels.

Invocation of the Ascension Flame

The next step in the class is to call forth to the Spiritual Hierarchy and inner plane Ascended Masters for the anchoring and activation of the Golden White Ascension Flame. Upon invocation, you will instantly feel and even see this energy coming in.

Invocation to the Spiritual and Cosmic Hierarchy

The next step is to call forth to the entire Spiritual and Cosmic Hierarchy to join the group. Ask that, within Divine order, the appropriate Masters overlight this particular gathering please. If there are particular Masters who you are connected with, this is also the time to call these Masters forward. If you like you can also suggest to the group members to call forth the Masters that they would like to be present.

Soul Mantra and Monadic Mantra

In my personal opinion the soul mantra and monadic mantra are two of the most profound mantras on the entire planet and should be recited every time Spiritual work of some kind is about to be ignited. The original soul mantra goes as follows:

I am the Soul,
I am Divine Light
I am Divine Love,
I am Divine Will,
I am Fixed Design by me, the Soul.

After first saying the soul mantra, say the monadic mantra.

I am the Monad,
I am the Soul,
I am Divine Light
I am Divine Love,
I am Divine Will,
I am Fixed Design by me, the Soul.

The saying of these mantras will ignite your Higher Self (Soul) and Mighty I AM Presence (Monad) into action. “Try it, you’ll like it!”

Establishment of Golden Dome of Protection

The next step is to call forth the golden dome of protection for this group by Archangel Michael and his legion of Angels. Archangel Michael serves on the First Ray and has a specific function in Spirit’s Divine Plan of providing protection. You also might request protection for each member of the group in their spiritual paths and service work.

Reciting of the Great Invocation (long version)

The next step of the class is to have printed out in advance copies of the Great Invocation which is a prayer that was brought forth by Lord Maitreya, the Planetary Christ, around 1945 to 1950. It is one of the most powerful prayers that has ever been given forth to Lightworkers and the New Group of World Servers. I am first going to give it to you in the short version, and then I am going to give you the longer version. I would recommend doing the short version for most of your classes, however on special holidays or Holy Days I would recommend doing the longer version.

Reciting of the Affirmation of the Disciple

The Actual Wesak Ceremony Meditation

Close your eyes. Let us begin again by taking a deep breath. Exhale.
We call forth the entire Planetary and Cosmic Hierarchy to help in this meditation.
We call forth the full opening now, of all our chakras, including the ascension chakra, which sits at the back of the head where a ponytail begins.
The meditation experience we are now about to begin, in truth, is the highlight of the entire Wesak Celebration.
We are now going to soul travel together to the actual Wesak Valley in the Himalayas, to experience the actual Wesak Ceremony conducted by the inner plane Ascended Masters, that has been going on every year at the Taurus full moon for eons of time.
Let us now prepare ourselves for this Holy and Sanctified experience with a moment of silence.
We now call forward our inner plane spiritual hosts, and ask for the re-creation of our group Merkabah like a gigantic boat, to take all in attendance both on the inner and outer plane, to the Wesak Valley in the Himalayas, to now experience the Wesak Ceremony.
Let us feel ourselves now descending into the actual Wesak Valley, joining all the other Ascended Masters, initiates and disciples already gathered there.
See and/or feel the Presence of Lord Maitreya, the Planetary Christ, St. Germain and the Mahachohan.
Also, see Allah Gobi, who holds the First Ray position in the Spiritual Hierarchy, known as the Manu.
See these three Masters standing in a triangular formation around a bowl of water that sits upon a very large crystal.
See, feel, and/or visualize all the rest of the Masters of the Spiritual Hierarchy, standing in a circular fashion around these three masters.
Just prior to the precise moment of the rising of the full moon, which is now upon us on the inner plane, the expectancy and excitement begins to build, as we all await the arrival of Lord Buddha.
As the moment of the rising moon now takes place, a stillness settles down upon the gathered crowd, and all look toward the northeast.
Certain ritualistic movements and mantras sound forth under the guidance of the Seven Chohans of the Seven Rays.
In the far distant northeast, a tiny speck can be seen in the sky.
This speck gradually grows larger and larger, and the form of the Buddha seated in a cross-legged position appears.
He is clad in a saffron colored robe, and bathed in light and color, with his hands extended in blessing.
While hovering above the bowl of water, a great mantrum is sounded forth by Lord Maitreya, that is only used once a year at Wesak.
This invocation sets up an enormous vibration of spiritual current.
It marks the supreme moment of intensive spiritual effort of all initiates and Masters in attendance for the entire year.
In this moment let us watch Lord Buddha hovering over this bowl of water, transmitting his Divine and Cosmic energies into this water and through Lord Maitreya.
The energy is then sent forth by Lord Maitreya, to the entire Spiritual Hierarchy, and into all of us who form a part of this Hierarchy on Earth.
Feel this massive downpouring of Cosmic energies from the Planetary and Cosmic Hierarchy, flowing not only through us, but also flowing out into the world and into the very Earth Herself.
As these energies continue to pour in, see the bowl of water that sat on the large crystal, being passed around the gathered crowd.
See and feel yourself taking a sip of this most Holy, Blessed, and Sanctified water.
See yourself now walking towards Lord Buddha, Lord Maitreya, and Sanat Kumara.
Stand now before these three glorious Masters, and share with them on the inner plane as to what you feel your service work, mission, and puzzle piece is in God’s Divine Plan on Earth. Take this time also, to make any prayer requests to God and these three Masters, for help in manifesting your mission, and for the answering of any personal prayer requests for self or for others.
Let us now take 30 seconds of silence to allow you to make these prayer requests.
Feel and visualize these prayers being answered, and thank Lord Buddha, Lord Maitreya and Sanat Kumara for their guidance and blessings.
Find yourself walking now in the Wesak Valley towards a less populated and very beautiful nature spot.
Have a seat and just allow yourself to BE and resonate with all that has taken place.
Take a moment now to feel the full joy and blessings of this moment and of the entire Wesak Ceremony, and allow this feeling to become fully imbued into the very core of your being.
Know that all of us, and the entire Hierarchy of inner plane Ascended Masters are one.
Find yourself now looking towards the ceremonial circle and gathering where the large crystal and bowl stand.
See, feel, and visualize Lord Buddha begin to rise and make his ascent in the lotus posture, and begin to now float back to the northeast to the realm from which he came.
As Lord Buddha again becomes a small speck in the distance, see and feel the arrival of our inner plane spiritual hosts, with their gigantic group Merkabah.
Feel yourself now joining this Merkabah in total oneness, joy and love.
Feel the group Merkabah floating now, through space and time, and now returning back to the room where you started this journey.
Before opening our eyes, let us take one last moment to send love to all our brothers and sisters in this room, who have shared this journey with us and who have shared this entire Wesak Celebration with us.
Let us send and receive this love now.
I would now like to call forth from the inner plane, His Holiness the Lord Sai Baba to now give forth his final blessing and benediction to close this Wesak Ceremony, by having him sprinkle his Sacred Virbhuti Ash etherically upon all gathered in this room.
Let us receive this final Wesak Ceremony and Wesak Celebration blessing now.
When you feel complete you may open your eyes.

Take a break before beginning the “Golden Chamber Ascension Meditation.”

Golden Chamber Ascension Activation Meditation

Close your eyes. Let us begin by taking a deep breath. Exhale.
We call forth all the Masters of the Planetary and Cosmic Hierarchy to help in this meditation.
We now call forth a Planetary and Cosmic Axiatonal Alignment.
Allow yourself to just completely relax and soak in all the Cosmic energies and ascension activations.
We now call forth to the Seven Chohans, Djwhal Khul, Lord Maitreya and Lord Buddha, to provide a gigantic group Merkabah for all in attendance, and we ask to be taken spiritually to the Golden Chamber of Melchizedek, in the Universal Core.
We call forth each person’s 144 soul extensions, from their Monad and Mighty I Am Presence, to join us, if they choose, for this meditation.
We call to the Seven Chohans, for the opening of all Chakras, the Ascension Chakra, and all Petals and Facets of all Chakras.
We call to Archangel Metatron, for the permanent anchoring and activation of the Microtron.
We call to the Lord of Sirius, for the anchoring and activation of the Scrolls of Wisdom and Knowledge, from the Great White Lodge on Sirius that are appropriate for this group.

We call Melchizedek, Mahatma, Metatron, the Elohim Councils, and the Archangels, for the permanent anchoring and activation of the Planetary and Cosmic Tree of Life.
We request the complete opening and activation of the Seven Cosmic Seals, and the Ten Sephiroth, as well as the Hidden Sephiroth of Daath.
We call forth from the Cosmic and Planetary Hierarchy, the anchoring and activation of all Fire Letters, Key Codes, and Sacred Geometries to help in this process.
We call to Melchizedek, the Mahatma, Metatron, Archangel Michael and the Planetary Hierarchy, for the anchoring and activation of the Anointed Christ Overself Body, our Zohar Body, our Overself Body, our Electromagnetic Body, our Gematrian Body, our EKA Body, our Epi-Kenetic Body, our Higher Adam Kadmon Body, and the Lord’s Mystical Body, as described in The Keys of Enoch.
We call forth the permanent anchoring and activation of the 64 Keys of Enoch, in all five Sacred Languages.
We call forth the illumination of the 72 areas of the Mind, as described in The Keys of Enoch.
We call forth the Deca Delta Light Encodements and Emanations from the Ten Superscripts of the Divine Mind.
We call forth to Metatron, for the anchoring and activation of the 76 Names of Metatron, to permanently flow through us.
We call forth the removal of all veils of Light and Time.
We call forth Djwhal Khul, Lord Maitreya, and Lord Buddha, for the permanent anchoring of the Greater Flame of the Monad and Mighty I AM Presence, into the Lesser Flame of the Personality and Soul incarnated on Earth.
We call to the Mighty Archangels, for permanent anchoring and activation of the Twelve Heavenly Houses, and Twelve Cosmic Stations.
We call to Lord Buddha, whose festival we celebrate, for the permanent anchoring and activation now, of the Planetary Sun and the Planetary Cosmic Heart, into the core of our being.
We call to Helios and Vesta, for the permanent anchoring and activation of the Solar Sun and the Solar Cosmic Heart, into the core of our being.
We call to Melchior, for the permanent anchoring and activation of the Galactic Sun and Galactic Cosmic Heart, into the core of our being.
We call to Melchizedek, for the permanent anchoring and activation of the Universal Sun and Universal Cosmic Heart, into the core of our being.
We call to the Mahatma and the Multi-Universal Logos, to now permanently anchor and activate the Multi-Universal Sun and Multi-Universal Cosmic Heart, into the core of our being.
We call to the Godhead, for the permanent anchoring and activation of the Ultimate Great Central Sun and God’s Own Heart, into the core of our being.
We call forth to the Source of Our Cosmic Day and Melchizedek, for the anchoring of the 43 Christed Universes.
We call forth to Melchizedek, to initiate each person attending this celebration, into the Order of Melchizedek.
Melchizedek, we ask you to do this now with your Rod of Initiation, if it is each person’s individual free choice to receive this blessing at this time.
We ask that each person who has inwardly given this permission, receive the Rod of Initiation directly from you Melchizedek, with no Earthly person needed as an intermediary in this process.
We call forth the entire Planetary and Cosmic Hierarchy, and hereby collectively request a complete merger of the Light Bodies of all the inner plane Masters in attendance with this Group Body in this room, both individually and collectively.
We call forth God, the Mahatma, Melchizedek, Metatron, Elohim Councils, Archangel Michael and the Archangels, to now anchor from the Cosmic Treasury of Light, the Light Packets of Information from the Tablets of Creation, the Elohim Scriptures, the Torah Or, the Cosmic Ten Commandments, and the Cosmic Book of Life.
We now call forth from the entire Planetary and Cosmic Hierarchy, and all the inner plane Masters that each person has brought with them to this festival, for a combined Light Shower the likes of which this world has never known before.
Let us begin the closing process of this meditation by repeating out loud together the famous mantra from The Keys of Enoch:
Kodoish, Kodoish, Kodoish, Adonai, Tsebayoth.
Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God of Hosts.
We now call forth our inner plane Spiritual Hosts, and request now to be taken together in our group Merkabah, back into our physical bodies and back into the room.

The Festival of Christ – April’s Full Moon 2020

Festival of Christ Rituals

The Ascended Masters and Spiritual Hierarchy under the direction of Sanat Kumara, Lord Buddha, Lord Maitreya and the Chohans of the Seven Rays celebrate 12 Festivals each year, all occuring on the Full Moon. The Full Moon functions like a window or magnifying glass for the intensification and downpouring of planetary and cosmic energies to disciples, initiates and to the Earth.

The three major Festivals are:

-Festival of the Christ – Love aspect of God – Hierarchy – Aries – April’s Full Moon

-Wesak Festival – Will aspect of God – Shamballa – Taurus – May’s Full Moon

-The Festival of Humanity – Divine Intelligence – Humanity – Gemini – June’s Full Moon

The three major festivals function to build the divine attributes into human consciousness. They function to establish the divine ascepts.

The Festival of the Christ – April 8th 2020

One of the major holiday the Ascended Masters would like you to celebrate is the Festival of the Christ, which occurs at the full moon in April (the full moon one month prior to Wesak).

Introduction to the Festival of the Christ

This is the festival of the living and risen Christ. This is not referring to the Master Jesus, but the Lord Maitreya.
Lord Maitreya is the planetary Christ, head of the Spiritual Hierarchy, teacher to all the Ascended Masters and a galactic avatar. This festival celebrates the life of Jesus and the resurrection example that the Master Jesus and Lord Maitreya set and have built on the last 2000 years. Lord Maitreya is the perfect embodiment of the love expression of God.

The forces of restoration are particularly active at the time of the festival of the Christ. These restorative forces emanate from the mind of God and are connected with the principle of active intelligence. This energy stimulates mass intelligence and the birth of form. It makes people think, plan and take action along spiritual lines. On a planetary level this energy will eventually lead to a reorganization of planetary life. The effects are primary physical, with the object of creating heaven on Earth.

The keynote of the festival is love, in the highest sense of this term. The second keynote is resurrection. The third keynote is contact. This refers to a closer relationship with Lord Maitreya and his disciples and initiates and a closer relationship between the Spiritual Hierarchy and humanity. This festival lasts for 3 days and prepares the way for the Wesak Festival. At this time Lord Maitreya sounds the Great Invocation, first alone, then with the united Spiritual Hierarchy.

Meditation for the Festival of the Christ

Close your eyes and sit as comfortably as you can, holding the spine erect.
Center your attention at the heart chakra and begin to breathe easily and naturally through that center as if there was a nose in the middle of your chest.
Visualize the heart center opening like a beautiful flower, as you continue to breathe love in and out (it is pink).
See the image of the heart of Christ within your own heart. Continue to breathe.
Now focus your attention at the top of your head, with your gaze turned inward and upward toward the third eye. Visualize the pure white light of the Christ flowing into the crown chakra.
Now visualize the pure white light of the Christ merge with the beautiful pink light of love. Feel this luminous, gentle pink-white light begin to flow throughout your entire four body system, then into your entire twelve body system.
Feel yourself merge in totality with the energy and being of Christ himself. Feel the incredible love, devotion and illumination become your very self.
Inwardly kneel at the altar of your own christed self. Know that this is your own true nature.
Let your christed self bow to Lord Maitreya, beloved master Jesus/Sanada and Kuthumi. Know that in this moment they are bowing to your Christ self even as you are bowing to theirs.
Realize that the entire planet is an aspect of Christ waiting to wake up to the realization of its divinity, each human’s oneness with the One.
Inwardly bow to the christed nature of the entire planet and know that as you are doing this, you are likewise bowing to the buddhic nature of all things. Realize that in truth you are simply bowing to the divine nature of all that exists.
Feel the energies of divine love within you pouring outward to the entire planet. See this beautiful, softly luminous pink-white light touching and enveloping everything in the sublimest form of love. Known that you and all are forever held within the aura of this love.
Bring your attention back to the heart center. Follow your breath as it flows easily in and out of this center. Inwardly offer thanksgiving for the experience of the glorious love of the Christ. Inwardly offer this love as a blessing to the planet as a whole and to any situation of a planetary or personal nature that you feel is most in need of this beatific energy.
Know that you are able to access this glorious love anytime you want, as well as direct it to situation, person or circumstance you feel directed.

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.
From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.
From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed be Thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Led us not into temptation
For Thine is the kingdom
And the glory
Forever and ever.
Amen

Yule – Winter Solstice Celebration

“The world is frozen and looking on the surface of nature everything is asleep. But deep in the earth, plants are now quietly putting out their shoots and building themselves up for the arrival of spring. This is the season of rebirth. All the dreams and ideas you had at Samhain can now be born and will grow as the Sun now begins to grow in strength on its journey towards the summer solstice. We refer to this time as “The Dark Night of our Souls”.”

Yule is one of the 8 Festivals included in the Wheel of the Year, which represents the metaphorical mythology surrounding the God and the Goddess. In most traditions, Yule is the Sabbat that begins the Wiccan Year. It is also celebrated as the Winter Solstice—the shortest day and longest night we will experience in the Northern Hemisphere.

Yule is a fire festival and represents a time of celebrating the return of the light. From this point forward, the days will gradually grow longer again, until we reach the height of the Sun’s power at the Summer Solstice. Although we will still see comparatively little of the the Sun’s light for several more weeks, this Sabbat reminds us to have patience—the waning half of the year is over, and warmth, growth, and light will reign again!

The symbolism associated with this Sabbat is very heavily concentrated on images of the light. Candles, bonfires and the appropriate named Yule log – all promise the returning of the light.

The Oak King and the Holly King, in legend, rule the year between them. The Oak King rules from midwinter to midsummer, when the light increases and the Holly King rules from midsummer to mid winter when the light decreases.

In the Wiccan belief system, the Oak King is reborn at Yule, having died at the previous Sabbat, at Samhain. The weak quality of sunlight during these still-short days is symbolized by the God in his infancy, just born and needing sustenance before he can come back into his full power. The Goddess, who has been in her Crone aspect these past few months, is now once again in her Mother aspect, having just given birth to the God. She represents the Earth, remaining still and silent for awhile yet as she rests from her labor.

This is a celebration of the renewal of life, but compared to other Sabbats it is a relatively quiet, indoor holiday, as people gather within the warm shelters of their homes to be merry and give thanks. As a Yule ritual, many Wiccans decorate their altars with evergreen branches, such as cedar, pine, hemlock and spruce, as well as bright sprigs of holly, pinecones, and other festive winter flora.

The traditional Holly Wreath has been used for over 4000 years to represent the Wheel of the Year and a new beginning in the ever-turning circle of life, and, being holly, it was also a symbol of protection for the home, just as a holly tree in the garden is.

Candles are paramount to this Sabbat, of course, with Yule traditions emphasizing the colors red, green, white, and gold. Images of the Sun are also appropriate.

The Celtic and Norse people used a Yule Tree to represent the continual circle of life, the return of the Sun and to represent their wishes for the forthcoming year. The tree would be decorated with amulets and talismans, made to ensure a happy time ahead. The tree would be brought inside and decorated with fruit for a successful harvest, nuts for fertility, coins for wealth, love charms for happiness and candles to light the way for the returning Sun.

Decorate your Home & tree with symbols of fertility, health, wealth and prosperity – nuts, fruit, suns (male), stars (pentagram) and moons (female), elemental symbols such as icicles, snowflakes, and protective herbs and spices such as cinnamon sticks – even chocolate represents the luxuries of life – just use your imagination.

Mistletoe, if it could be obtained, would be hung to ensure another prosperous year. Kissing under the Mistletoe is as old as the Celtic/Druid way of life. Sacred to the Druids, their legal agreements and hand-fasting ceremonies (marriage) all took place “under the mistletoe”, as the agreement was then truly sealed.

Herbs: Chamomile, rosemary, ginger, sage and cinnamon
Incense: Bayberry, pine, spruce, spice, cedar, cinnamon
Stones: Quartz crystal, blue sunstone, emerald, ruby, sapphire
Oils: Carnation, cedar, spruce, pine, rose, cinnamon, bayberry

If you feel guided, join our Yule God-dess Circle for this sacred celebration.

May the plan of Love and Light forever prosper!

Dark Moon & New Moon Ritual Celebration

“The story that the Moon tells is of birth, growth, fullness, decay, disappearance, with rebirth and growth again.”

Moon phases

Working within the Moon phases is one of the keys to success in spell casting and rituals for witches and those who desire to work within the laws of Nature. It is wise to time your magical rites to coincide with the proper phase of the Moon. By doing this you take advantage of lunar power, stay in sympathy with the natural pull of the Universe, and combine your energy with Nature’s.

The Dark Moon and the New Moon are two different celebrations.

On the Dark Moon, when the moon it’s at her 0% illumination, we celebrate Deipnon.
And at the New Moon, which is the day after the Dark Moon, when the first sliver of the New Moon appears and the moon begins her cycle again, we celebrate Noumenia.

This month we’ll be celebrating:
Dark Moon – on 28 September 2019
New Moon – on 29 September 2019

THE DARK MOON – DEIPNON

The Dark Moon (astronomical New Moon) represents the last day of the lunar month, when there is no light reflected from the moon at all.
The time of the Dark Moon is celebrated as the Deipnon in some traditions and gives us an excellent and potent time for a ritual of introspection, healing, retreat and focus on what we want to remove from our lives.

The energy of the Dark Moon has a different effect upon us, pulling us deep within ourselves. It’s the best time to practice de-manifestation and shadow work. The purpose of the dark phase of any cycle is that of transition between the death of the old and the birth of the new.
The Dark of the Moon symbolize illumination, divination and the powers of healing.
We honor the Triple Goddess in Her Crone aspect at this time.
The Deipnon is also a time when we express our gratitude and devotion to Hekate for all her blessings in our lives.
In Greek, deipnon means “the evening meal”, usually the largest meal of the day.

You can start the ritual by purifying and cleanse your home/space, by lighting your favorite incense and decorate your altar in the name of the Goddess.

Taking a ritual bath before doing the Deipnon ritual is a powerful method of spiritual and psychological preparation. You can use salts, essential oils, herbs and crystals. The intention for such a bath is usually to clense yourself of lower energies and to open up to divine connection.

Invocations, prayers and chants dedicated to the Great Goddess are more than welcome at this time.

You can write a list with everything that no loger serves you, like unhealthy emotions, thoughts, behaviours, etc. and offer it to the fire of the Goddess. This is such a powerful exercise of cleaning and rejuvenating.
Take time to share your deepest gratitude to the Fierce Goddess.

THE NEW MOON – NOUMENIA

New Moon over Acropolis

The Deipnon is always followed the next day by Noumenia, when the first sliver of the moon is visible and is held in honor of Selene, Hestia, Hermes, Apollon Noumenios, and the other Hellenic household Gods.

In ancient Greece, Noumenia was the day where no other rituals were held and it was known as the day of incense burning. Different resins and herbs were burned in front of the depictions of the Goddess as a sacrifice.
Noumenia is the first day of the lunar month and is considered “the holiest of days”, representing a time of initiation and new beginnings.

On the New Moon it’s the best time to plant the seeds in our sacred wombs of what we want to manifest in the month ahead and in the near future. This includes intention setting as well.
The darkness is lit with the translucent quality of transformation; and during this essential and necessary period, life is prepared to be born.

In my practice I prepare a sacred space and I invite the Great Goddess and Fire Goddesses to help me clean my womb with their sacred fires before I start the process of planting the seeds of what I want to manifest (in accordance with the Divine Will of God and only if it is for my higher purpose). I allow the fire of transformation to burn anything that no longer serves me and then I connect my womb to the Great Womb of Creation.

Then I visualize one by one the golden seeds, I set the intention for each of them and visualize it as it is already manifested. I ask for the seeds be blessed by God, Mother Gaia and the Goddesses and then I plant them, one by one, in the fertile soil of my womb.

At the end, I bow down in gratitude and accept this as done.

You can include this beautiful and sacred hymn for Noumenia’s ritual:

Goddess Selene

Orphic Hymn 9 (to Goddess Selene)

Hear, Goddess Queen (thea basileia), diffusing silver light,
bull-horned, and wandering through the gloom of night.
With stars surrounded, and with circuit wide night’s torch extending,
through the heavens you ride:
female and male, with silvery rays you shine,
and now full-orbed, now tending to decline.
Mother of ages, fruit-producing Mene (Moon),
whose amber orb makes night’s reflected noon:
lover of horses, splendid queen of night,
all-seeing power, bedecked with starry light,
lover of vigilance, the foe of strife,
in peace rejoicing, and a prudent life:
fair lamp of night, its ornament and friend,
who givest to nature’s works their destined end.
Queen of the stars, all-wise Goddess, hail!
Decked with a graceful robe and amble veil.
Come, blessed Goddess, prudent, starry, bright,
come, moony-lamp,
with chaste and splendid light,
shine on these sacred rites with prosperous rays,
and pleased accept thy suppliants’ mystic praise.

May the plan of Love and Light forever prosper!

Mabon: Season of the Witch

September 21st marks the 2019 Autumn Equinox, which it’s also the date that witches celebrate Mabon, one of the Wiccan harvest festivals in the Wheel of the Year.

The Sabbat is named for the Mabon, the Welsh God, who symbolized the male fertilizing principle in the Welsh myths. Mabon is a Fire Festival and one of the Lesser Sabbats.

All Sabbats are occasions to express gratitude to the God and Goddess for the blessings in our lives, but Mabon is particularly so, coming at the height of the harvest season.
We give thanks for the abundance in our lives, as the sun is about to enter Libra, the cardinal air sign of balance.
Mabon celebrates the balance of opposing forces, light/dark, life/death, etc. with the understanding that after this moment of balance, darkness and death will reign for a time, until Ostara or the Spring Equinox.

Mabon is the Witch’s Great Feast of Thanksgiving, a celebration of the Earth’s bounty and it represents a time of plenty of gratitude and of sharing our abundance with those less fortunate. It’s a time when Wiccans gather in their symbolic (and sometimes literal) harvest, give thanks to the Gods for help, to the ancestors and living helpers.
For this reason the full moon closest to Mabon is known as the “Harvest Moon” or “Wine Moon”.
As Autumn is welcomed on this Sabbat, day and night are of equal lengths; Nature is in balance. It is time to appreciate the light and the dark aspects of life, and to appreciate the sacrifice of our God through the harvesting of the crops. It is through His sacrifice that we may live through the Dark half of the Wheel. Our God now awaits rebirth within the womb of our Goddess.

The God is now aged, his power on the wane. He will die at Samhain and sacrifice himself to the Earth before rebirth at Yule. The Goddess is croning, she too is aged, but resplendent in the prime of her power and wisdom. The earth in the hands of the Goddess will enjoy one last flash of colour, beauty and abundance before settling to sleep as the waiting period for Yule begins.

As we enter the season of autumn, we have the opportunity to take a long and fruitful journey with the Goddess Persephone.
At Mabon, we celebrate Persephone as the Dark Queen of the Underworld, Goddess of the soul who possesses it’s dark and frightening mysteries. As maiden, she brings forth new life when the Earth begins to waken from a long winter’s sleep. As Dark Queen, Persephone rules the Underworld, and with her sickle, is prepared to reap what has been sown.

Goddess Persephone

It is time to complete projects, to clear out and let go that which is no longer wanted or needed as we prepare for descent, so that the winter can offer a time for reflection and peace. And it is time to plant seeds of new ideas and hopes which will lie dormant but nourished in the dark, until the return of Spring.

RITUALS FOR MABON

To celebrate this Sabbat, you can prepare your altar and decorate it with flowers, herbs and fresh harvested fruits, crystals, candles in gold-orange-red autumn colors, divination objects, Gods and Godesses’s statues and anything that you feel guided to add.

Cleanse yourself (your group) and your space with white sage and burn some myrrh/frankincense, or any incense of your choice.
Invite your Spiritual Guides, Ascended Masters, Angelic Realm, Gods and Goddesses to be with you during this gathering. Be open to receive their blessings.

The ritual may include prayers, invocations, spells, meditations and exercises for gratitude, de-manifestation, manifestation, balance, prosperity, harmony and protection.

This is the time of the Dark Mother, the Crone aspect of the triple Goddess.
Honor the Dark Mother at Mabon, the Goddess associated with darkness and shadows.

This ritual welcomes the archetype of the Dark Mother and celebrates that aspect of the Goddess which we may not always find comforting or appealing, but which we must always be willing to acknowledge.
With this ocassion, the Dark Goddesses are called upon in rituals to help us heal from trauma, fear, grief, or any lower energies.

The Crone – Dark Goddess/Mother

Be creative and let Nature flow gently through you and guide you and your group during all celebration.

If you feel guided, join our Mabon God-dess Circle for this sacred celebration:

You may include this beautiful Prayer to the triple Goddess :

Maiden, Mother, Crone

Maiden, Goddess, brilliant one, fair as the last frost,
lace-etched on the earth, gone with the morning sun.
All is new, all is bright, all is green grass and dew,
dancing feet in the white seafoam, wet sand clinging,
tangled hair crowned with ribbons and wild flowers,
wide-open eyes taking in the wild new world.
With each uncertain step we take into the now,
we know you;
with each leap of faith, each fool’s journey,
each promise of life not yet fulfilled,
we know you.
Facing the broad future with a smile and a sigh,
with trust in the world, with the dauntlessness of youth.
Maiden, Goddess, I call to you, I ask your favor!

Mother, Goddess, radiant one, giver of life,
granter of gifts simple and profound, primal and raw.
Firm-footed, kind-hearted one, blossom in full bloom,
wind-blown fields of gold and heavy-fruited trees,
a warm rain falling on the soft earth, green and lush,
the flourishing of life and wit and vision.
Rooted in the deep earth, in bones and blood we feel
your might, we know you in the tides that turn the world,
the hand on the cradle, the feast of first harvest,
the kicking child within the womb,
the hot sun on our heads,
the warm breeze tousling our children’s hair.
Mother, Goddess, I call to you, I ask your favor!

Elder, goddess, shining one, wise in all things.
The copper mums, the last bright leaves on the trees,
the first frost sinking into the soil,
the first snow clinging to the evergreen, its branches hanging low,
the thin ice breaking under your step, the long nights,
the knife-sharp wind, the darkening days, the earth at rest.
Whether in peace or in rage, an end comes to all things–
in both lie a wisdom, in both lie a rightness.
We know you when our every breath comes out in clouds,
we know your guiding hand, the refuge of your arms,
we know your might in the full course of our lives.
Elder, Goddess, I call to you, I ask your favor!

May the plan of Love and Light forever prosper!

Nemoralia – 13th August – Festival of Torches

Celebration of Goddess Diana and Hekate

GODDESS DIANA

In roman mythology, Diana was the great Goddess, the Goddess of the Moon, of the hunt, birthing and the Protector of the forests and all wild and untamed life. The Roman Goddess was known by many names including Queen of Heaven, the Great Goddess, Lunar Virgin, Mother of Animals and Lady of Wild Creatures. She is the Huntress of the forest seeking means of survival. She is the call of the wild, the beating heart of the forests, the animal spirit within, urging us to remember our origins.

Goddess Diana calls to us to let our animal essence out and hone our inherent sensibilities. Dance and sing to the Moon, run until our heart pounds to the top of a hill, to take a swim in a creek, roll around in the grass, or just gaze upon the stars in wonderment; knowing all the while that Goddess Diana is within us, sharing our journey.

Goddess Diana

Diana is the traditional Goddess revered by Witches and women.
She was immensely revered in all of the lands, especially the Stregheria, which is Dianic Witchcraft.
Although Diana is know as the Virgin Goddess of childbirth and women, she is one of the three Maiden Goddesses who each swore never to marry : Diana, Vesta and Minerva.

Sacred Oak groves were especially created for Diana, as they were sacred to her.
According to the Legends, Diana (of the Moon) was the twin of Apollo (of the Sun). They were born on the Island of Delos, as the children of Jupiter and Latona.

Diana, as one of the twelves Olympian Gods and Goddesses, was a Supreme Goddess in Rome and she was the Great seal of Chasity. She is always depicted standing by a Cypress Tree in a short toga with a drown arrow, but it was not the hunt of animals. She hunted man’s souls, to guide them to the Underworld, for rest, peace and rebirth.

Goddess Diana

NEMORALIA – FESTIVAL OF TORCHES

She was always revered at Her Festival in August, called Nemoralia, the Festival of Torches and lights which were placed by her workshippers surrounding Nemi, the Sacred Lake of Diana, also known as “Diana’s Mirror”. The Festival starts on 13 August and it’s celebrated until the Full Moon of August.

Nemoralia was a time of rest and celebration, especially for women. They would bathe, wash their hair, be adorned with flowers and then take part in a torchlit procession around the shores of the lake, under the Moon at night.
All these lights with the reflection of the Moon on the mystical lake showned that in darkness there is always light; this was a festival to also honour life. Catholics later adopted this Festival as the Feast of Assumption.

“[August] The 13th. Celebration of Diana and Hekate of the Moon in pre-Hellenic Greece, to protect the harvest. Origin of the Assumption Day in the Church Mary cycle. The Moon is Maiden/Mother/Crone, the Three Fates (Lachesis, Clotho, Atropos), the Morrigan (Ana, Babd, Macha), the Norns, the Three Mothers (Sarasvati, Lakshmi, Parvati) the Goddess’ three aspects.” – The Goddess Book of Days, Diana Stein (1988).

Prayer to Goddess Diana

“Hail and adoration unto you,
O, Great Diana.
Hail Goddess of the Moon and of the night.
You who have been since before the beginning,
You who caused all things to appear,
Giver and sustainer of life, adoration unto you.
Hail and adoration unto you,
O, source of all enlightenment.
I pray you to impart to me your illumination and enlighten my mind
That I may perceive more clearly all things in which I endeavor,
Illuminate my soul, imparting your essence of purity.
I reveal my inner self to you and ask that all be cleansed and purified within.”
~by Raven Grimassi~

On 13th August, by night, we pray to the Goddess Diana that we never forget the wonders of creation, the joy of being alive, and the importance of being a woman. Tonight we pray to Goddess Diana to be filled with Her strength to survive the challenges that would steal our dreams. Under Her Full Moon we are alive in Her reflection. As a Circle of women we pray to Goddess Diana to grants us development and change within ourselves. As we embrace Her energy that is the vibrations of the universe that lives within us let the hunt begin. Let us seek out and tame the resources that is the beast and the forest of our lives. As goddess Diana let us be the huntress of our path. Tonight as women we say “Great is the Goddess Diana and Great is the Goddess in Me”.

Go into the woods and send healing energy to the Earth. Each time you honor the Earth and its creatures, you are honoring Diana.

GODDESS HEKATE

The date has also become associated with the Goddess Hekate.
August 13th is listed in modern Pagan calendars as being Hekate’s Night as Goddess of Witches, a night sacred to Hekate.

In Greek religion, Hekate was appeased during the height of summer to protect the crops against blight and detrimental storms. Because the Romans associated Hekate with Diana (especially as respective Queens of Witches), they began to include veneration of Hekate during Diana’s Nemoralia.

Goddess Hekate

This festival was commonly ascribed to an aspect of Hekate known as the Lady of Storms with some notion that part of the reason for the festival was to propitiate Her to protect the harvest.

HEKATE AS BRIMO – LADY OF THE STORMS

Hekate as Brimo is Her most terrifying aspect. As the Queen of Rage, She is associated with the chaotic, horrible and transformative storms of life. Whether we need Hekate’s help with the chaos of our lives, to channel our own anger or to help us weather a nor’easter, the gifts of Brimo energy are plentiful.
Hekate as Brimo is the mighty Queen of Rage, bringing up all the anger, horror and chaos that is part of the Underworld. We can tap into Her as Brimo when we need to get fierce ourselves.

Brimo was an epithet given to deities associated with the Underworld, specifically those that were angry and fierce. Besides Hekate, Demeter, Kybele and Persephone were all called Brimo in ancient texts to refer to their terrifying selves. The chaos associated with Brimo energy is a vital part of the natural cycle of the earth, the destruction is necessary for maintaining balance.

For those dedicated to Hekate, August 13th holds special meaning – it is Hekate’s Night, a night to honor our great Goddess, She who bestows many gifts upon those who honor Her, including magical abilities and protection. Those who know Her, know that they have been chosen by Her, it is no accident that one becomes Her Priestess.
For those just beginning to hear Her call, accepting Hekate into your life will bring great change, there will be no turning back.
May your celebration bring you closer to our Lady!

PRAYER TO HEKATE BRIMO :

Hail Hekate Brimo,
Hail Hekate The Fierce,
Hail Hekate The Terrifying.
May I be prepared for the storms of life,
May I honor You through my actions,
May I learn from your gifts.
Guide me through life’s storms,
Remind me that I am strong beyond measure,
As I weather the chaos.
Grateful I am
For the terrors You send my way,
As I grow wise and fierce.
Hail Hekate Brimo, Storm Bringer,
Hail Hekate The Fierce,
Hail Hekate The Terrifying.

INVOCATION to summon HEKATE from the Orphic Hymns :

“Hekate of the roads I invoke,
The one who is adored at the crossroads
and where the three roads meet.
Celestial, Chtonian and Marine,
you who wear the saffron colored veil,
Sepulchral One,
who celebrates in Bacchic Ecstasy with the souls of the Dead,
Daughter of Perses,
Lover of solitude, who enjoys the company of deers.
Nocturnal one, Protectress of Dogs, Irresistible Queen,
the One who emits the sounds of beasts,
ungirt One, Herder of Bulls, Queen of all Worlds who holds all keys,
Guide, Nymph, Nurturer of youth, Wanderer of mountains,
I ask thee Maiden to be present in my sacred rites,
Favorable to the herder, filled with graciousness and with propitious mood.”

May we all the blessed by the Great Goddess!

Lammas / Lughnassadh Celebration

Rituals Wheel of the Year

On 31 July at sunset, the party to celebrate the harvest begins.

One of the ways we can deepen our connection with the Earth is to become in tune with her seasons and cycles, honoring and appreciating her throughout the seasons.

The more present and connected we become with the rhythm of nature and the spirit of the seasons, the easier it becomes to intuitively celebrate!

Lammas is one of the 8 Festivals included in the Wheel of the Year, which represents the metaphorical mythology surrounding the God and the Goddess. This sacred couple is responsible for all creation in Nature, and each has a decisive role to play in the cycles of life during the course of the year. The God is depicted as the forceful Sun, and the Goddess as the nurturing Earth – Mother Gaia. It is now high summer and the Union of Sun and Earth, of God and Goddess, has produced the First Harvest.

Lammas is one of the four Greater Sabbats, making it one of the most important days on the Wiccan Wheel of the Year. It is the cross-quarter day between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox, and it marks the beginning of the harvest season.
Lammas is a Fire Festival, the celebration of the first Grain Harvest, a time for gathering in, bow down in gratitude for the beautiful gifts that we have received and give to others with open hearts.
It is a time of plentiful abundance and revelling in nature’s bounty. As such, this particular sabbat is associated with feasting and crafting.
There is an emphasis on using what the earth has given us to celebrate.

Wheel of the Year

In our own tradition, Lammas is the time of year when the White Goddess, who is the Queen of the Fey and Lady of Sovereignty, is at her shining peak. The Goddess is in Her aspect as Grain Mother, Harvest Queen/Mother, Earth Mother, Ceres and Demeter.
Demeter represents the ripe corn of this year’s harvest and Her daughter, Persephone, represents the grain – the seed which drops back deep into the dark earth, hidden throughout the winter, and reappears in the spring as new growth.
This is the deep core meaning of Lammas and comes in different guises. The fullness and fulfillment of the present harvest already holds at its very heart the seed of all future harvest.
The Spiral Castle is open to the south gate, and the Earth sends forth its bounty in abundance. It is is a time of celebration, for it is the last hurrah before the wheel turns to the dark of the year.

Goddess Demeter

It is also know as Lughnassadh, the great festival of Lugh – the great Celtic Sun King and God of Light. August is His sacred month when He initiated great festivities in honour of His mother, Tailtiu. Feasting, circle dancing, reflecting the movement of the sun in sympathetic magic and bonfire celebrations were the order of the day.

RITUAL on the sacred day of the Dark Moon & Lammas

As this year we celebrate Lammas in the same day with the Dark Moon – Deipnon – on August 1st, it is a blessed opportunity to make a ritual of introspection, healing, retreat and focus on what we want to remove from our lives, so we can first make space for what we want to attract and manifest.
The purpose of the dark phase of any cycle is that of transition between the death of the old and the birth of the new.

Moon phases

To celebrate this Sabbat, you can prepare you altar and decorate it with summer flowers, herbs, fruits and grains, crystals, candles in golden-orange-red summer colors.

Cleanse your space with white sage and burn some myrrh incense, or any incense of your choice. Invite your Spiritual Guides, Ascended Masters, Angelic Realm, Gods and Goddesses to be with you during this gathering. Be open to receive their blessings.

In this practice, yo can prepare a sacred space and you can write a list with everything that no loger serves you and offer it to the fire of the Goddess. This is such a powerful exercise of cleaning and rejuvenating.

Fire Goddess

In the second part of the ritual you can invite the Dark Goddesses and Fire Goddesses to help you clean your womb with their sacred fires before you start the process of planting the seeds of what you want to manifest (in acordance with the Divine Will of God and only if it is for your higher purpose).
Allow the fire of transformation to burn anything that no longer serves you and connect your womb to the Great Womb of Creation. Then you can visualize one by one, the golden seeds, set the intention for each of them and visualize it as already manifested.
Ask for each seed to be blessed by God, Mother Gaia and the Goddesses and then plant it in the fertile soil of your womb.
At the end, bow down in gratitude and accept this as done.

What is your favorite practice for Lammas?

We can inspire each other by sharing our Sacred Wisdom.

Feel free to connect with your intuition and design your own ritual using to Power of Nature and the Moon.

May the plan of Love and Light forever prosper!
